Darling Trixie was found dodging traffic in Buchanan Dam and was saved by a shelter worker. Unfortunately, this poor girl was discovered to be pregnant, which was bad news at the shelter. Those caring folks called our rescue group and we couldn't resist her friendly, sweet personality. So we are going to keep her in foster care to deliver her puppies and then find Forever Homes for all of them.

- 09-02-07: Shannon was found walking in the street without tags in Buchanan Dam, TX and saved by a shelter worker
- 09-05-07: Bordetella vaccination for Shannon
- 09-05-07: Capstar for Shannon
- 09-05-07: DA2PP Vaccination for Shannon
- 09-05-07: Shannon Wormed
- 09-05-07: Shannon's Heartworm test = Negative
- 09-11-07: Shannon Microchipped
- 09-11-07: Shannon Rescued by Forgotten Friends- Mixed Breed Rescue and arrives at our Foster Home
- 09-11-07: Vet exam at Compassion Animal Hospital including diagnostic xray. Shannon is found to be ~6 weeks pregnant with 2-3 puppies.
- 09-23-07: The puppies are whelped! Puppy A (Satchel) weighs 8.2 oz.; Puppy B (Sabrina) weighs 6.2 oz.; Puppy C (Sarah Jane) weighs 5.9 oz.
- 10-07-07: 1st worming (Shannon & pups)
- 10-24-07: 2nd worming (Shannon & pups)
- 10-26-07: Booster Vaccination for Shannon: DHLPP
- 10-30-07: Satchel's name changed to HANK! (chosen by his adoptive family)
- 10-30-07: Trixie and Hank are PENDING!
- 11-01-07: Heartgard Plus (Trixie)
- 11-02-07: Shannon's name officially changed to TRIXIE! (chosen by her adoptive family)
- 11-04-07: The puppies are 6 weeks old!!
- 11-07-07: 1st Puppy Vaccination: DA2PP
- 11-14-07: The puppies have an upper respiratory infection! After a vet visit they start on Clavamox & guaifenesin and get steam therapy.
- 11-18-07: 8 Weeks Old!
- 11-25-07: 9 weeks old
- 12-01-07: Sabrina rushed to the vet following an apparent seizure, found to have low blood sugar & body temperatue. Switched to new antibiotics (clindamycin), new food (a/d), & life saving treatments. She is in critical condition.
- 12-02-07: 10 Weeks Old
- 12-03-07: Sabrina returned to the vet, condition remains very serious
- 12-05-07: Maggie (Sarah Jane) falls critically ill with the same symptoms as Sabrina and is rushed to the vet by her new family.
- 12-06-07: Sabrina seems much stronger.
- 12-12-07: Sabrina rushed to the emergency hospital and hositalized for low blood sugar & other complications from her pnuemonia
- 12-13-07: Sabrina back home
- 12-16-07: 12 Weeks Old
- 01-02-08: DA2PP vaccination for Hank & Sabrina
- 01-02-08: Heartgard Plus for Hank & Sabrina
- 01-02-08: pyrantel pamoate (worming) for Hank & Sabrina

- 01-10-08: Hanks weighs 6 lbs.13 oz. and Sabrina weighs 3 lbs. 2oz.
